Read a bunch about sous vide online and decided I wanted perfect steaks with minimal effort, so it was time to do a ghetto $75 immersion circulator build.

Started with two plastic storage tubs stacked for some basic insulation:



The pid controller is foam tape mounted to the relay, which is screwed into the cabinet:

3 little drink heaters and a small pump for circulation:

I decided to forgo the fancy acrylic box (amazon doesn’t ship to canada) and wasn’t too impressed with the mounting method, but otherwise it’s based on the Seattle food geek.
